Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I was a stray in a colony of cats. Most of them were scaredy cats, but I am not at all. I am very loving, and want to be loved and petted. I have a flea allergy, so it has been rough having to live outside. My gorgeous black and brown fur is growing back and I just love for my person to pet me and hold me. I am quite the talker and will hold an hour long conversation with you especially when you're not paying me any attention!! I hope to have a forever family who will value me as a member of the family.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
My name is Maggie. I was a mom to 4 beautiful baby boys who have all found their forever home. I gave birth to them outside. When they were 3 days old a nice lady came and brought us into her house. I love it inside! I use the litter box. I get along easily with other kitties and tolerate dogs well. I'm a nice cat and I LOVE other cats but I don't allow my people to pet me very often. I prefer to watch. I love to watch my foster mom work in the kitchen and around the house! I'm told my behavior will make it more difficult to find me a home. I want to go to a home with at least one other cat. I'm looking for a place I can happily live and continue to learn to trust. I just need a family with patience a big heart! Is that you?

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
I was born at a cat collector's house. That may sound crazy, but she really is. She decided that she would let us go to a home, along with some others. I am very thankful that I was able to get out and have the opportunity to find a home. I am a sweetie. I love to play. I will play with anything that I find interesting. I love feather toys and balls that crunch. If you want to adopt me, here is a link to apply.https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/POMH/Cat

I came from an area where people drop off cats and kittens in the country. If you have never had a black cat before, you might be in for a treat. Black cats are not only beautiful, but we have great personalities. I am a sweet girl who is ready for a home of her own. I am playful and lots of fun. I will be a great companion for you. How to Choose a Kitten That Fits Your Lifestyle & Home
Learn a Kitten's Personality. The pre-adoption time is also the perfect time to decide how to choose a kitten whose personality will fit with yours. ...
Taking in a stray cat with an unknown history may very well turn out to be very rewarding in the long run, but is likely to require some pretty major adjustments, a huge amount of patience and financial resources to have the best chance of a successful outcome.
Ideally, kittens should go to their new home around 12 weeks of age. While some kittens can go home earlier, the closer you wait until 12 or 13 weeks, the better off the kitten will be.
Once you've arranged a time to meet a litter of kittens and their mother, make sure you know what to look for. There are several ways to check a kitten is healthy – and don't be taken in by being told that problems have 'just happened'. Make sure their eyes, nose and ears are clear, with no dirt or discharge.
Unless they're in danger, it's best to leave stray kittens outside so the mother cat can comfort them upon her return. Crate them in a carrier to keep the kittens safe and secure, and, if needed, to provide an easy way to move them to the nearest municipal animal control/animal services centre.
Contact your local council or rescue group to assist you with trapping. Make sure that the cat/kitten has food, water and shelter. Keep the cat away from your own pets until you are sure it is healthy. Take the lost cat to a local veterinarian and ask them to scan for a microchip.
Sit on the floor, hold her and pick her up if she lets you. Ask the shelter or her previous pet parent questions about her temperament and how she gets along with other cats and people. Bring all of your family members to meet her, including other pets of yours, if possible.
Find out from the breeder or seller if the kitten has been vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. The kitten will need to be treated for worms and fleas. If this isn't the case, you'll need to ensure you do this yourself.
Kittens who are gently handled by people multiple times a day and who are exposed to many different people and other animals while they are 2-9 weeks of age, are more likely to be friendly and well-adjusted, and generally get along better with people and other animals.
To find out for yourself how the kitten reacts, sit on the floor and hold out your arm to get their attention. You'll soon find out if the kitten is affectionate, whether or not they like their head rubbed or if they like to sit on your lap. Don't force anything.
